Can We Build It? Yes We Can!

Heyyooooo didn't journal the best so I won't go day by day this week.

We had some pretty fun things happen though! Unfortunately one of the sisters' teaching friends' house burnt down, but that gave me and Elder Phal an opportunity to do service! Which was kinda weird at first😆 because I helped build a house. It was done in about 5 days, and it's made out of old wood planks and stuff. More like a tree house with out the tree part, or like a cool fort maybe. But anyway I'm just hoping and praying it won't fall when the wind comes blowing, hahaha. Anyway, that was fun, although a nail may or may not have entered my arm at one point. Only a little ways though so no worries there, hopefully, it's looking like it's healing normally so that's reassuring . . . .but ya. We also had our baptism for pu Piseth, which he's pretty awesome too. Also at church we saw a lot of people who are inactive come back which is also super happy!

Sad news is Gustavo (the husband of one of the members here, he just got baptized a couple weeks ago when he came here to visit from America) left back to America this last Sunday. Pray for him and his family to have everything legally go through, he's just waiting on some papers for his family to then move to America all together. Other great news is we have Elder Cook coming and speaking next week so that's super lit as well! Super excited to hear from an apostle of the Lord.

Language wise I tried focusing on writing and reading big time this last week so I'll try to type some Khmer for you at the end of the email haha. Anyway though I love Cambodia so much, but. . . I miss American food, mainly just my mom's food to be honest. I was pretty spoiled with how well she cooks food and that she kept me full all the time. Here I have to like buy the food, wash the food then prepare and eat the food, then wash the dishes. Everyday. . . man it's a chore to stay healthy and cook for yourself over here, or anywhere to be honest. I will say though it brings me joy when I make foods from home. Like french toast, or banana bread, or pumpkin cookies or some eggs and potatoes and so forth.

Anyway, sorry I'm just kinda rambling on so I'll finish with my short testimony. . .

(Google translate doesn't translate perfectly so I'll type out what I said)

I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love us very much. I will bear my testimony about Joseph Smith and the Restoration of this Church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ every day of my life because I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's church here on the earth. I share all of this in the name of Jesus Christ amen.

I love all you guys, have the greatest week knowing that you've got Jesus ready to help you out anytime you need as long as you just turn to Him.
