Miracles
Heyyo guys, I'm trying to be better at these so here we go!
This week was a bit of a downer week to start off but man it really turned around at the end, I'll tell you what!
Okay, so first off I'll tell the story of the Korean church here😆so we are helping this ming and bong (aunt aged woman and like someone the same age as me) clear the vines from off their house and we were cleaning all the trash from the yard as well. This house that they have is more like a metal shack. But anyway, they haven't lived there for like 10 years but now they want to have a little shop so we were helping them clean it. But. . . it is right in front of a Korean Christian church school. Who ofc hates us because we are members of our Church, what a classic, another Christian Church that hates us😆 Anyway so a guy came out and asked us what we were doing and why we were cleaning this place so we told him. Then he goes on a little schpiel that it's the churches land. Anyway, this last week we went over again and clean a ton more stuff but this time, at the hour where kids were getting out of school so ofc a ton of people were watching us and then this guy came marching out and started filming us in an angry way and was telling us to stop RIGHT NOW! Anyway so after a little while I went over and talked with him where he continued to tell me this was the churches land and that I needed to stop right away. But the ming and bong told me a couple days before that what he was saying was wrong. It's the land of the state and the President of the little phum is called or community said that they could continue to live there. There's also another family to the right that is in the same situation but they don't bother them because they aren't members of our church. Anyway so then he started to get frustrated and say he was gonna sue us and everything. Which I responded with "for cleaning the trash and weeds off of the land?" hahaha in my head I was thinking, even if this is your land you should be thanking us and paying us for how much physical labor we are doing to make this spot look better. Before it was just a pile of trash and weeds that looked super bad. Anyway, then I ask him why he's so mad at us cleaning it up even if it is their property and he answers with well I was going to do it myself but she wouldn't let me, pointing to the ming whose house it is. So once again that doesn't make sense if it's your land she doesn't have authority, so clean it by all means! Anyway, now there's a whole thing and the Korean church has hired a really expensive attorney to get things done I guess and unfortunately, whoever has more money usually is the one who wins in this country of Cambodia cause the police and judge systems are corrupt. So the Korean church will probably spend lots of money to take about 10 square meters of land from a single mom and her son that are pretty pretty poor. Anyway, super sad and I wish there was stuff I could do about it as well. Low-key just builds my testimony that our church really is the only church that has the fullness of the true and everlasting gospel. Also, sad to see other Christians hate on us Christians when all we do is try to befriend them. I mean just look at the prophet and all the places and different denominational churches he has been too and spoken with to build up relations. Moral of the story, there's only one thing that breeds contention and hate and that's satan. Anyway, sorry for that rant, it's just those people I love so dearly and what little they have is being ripped from them which is frustrating to me.
Any way
Let's get to the miracles of this week! First of all, a ming that used to hate the Elders and said that they were stealing her husband, got baptized with two of her kids and they are so cute and adorable. It was a pleasure to reap the reward of hard working missionaries of the past! Anyway, also this next week a kid named David is going to get baptized as well. And that's another miracle because his dad wouldn't let him for the longest time, like at least a year, anyway his dad's heart finally was softened enough to where David is getting baptized nest Sunday!!!! So excited for him!
Also, this night I just ate at an all you can eat buffet for 8 dollars and it was so incredibly delicious! I feel like I got my monies worth cause all I ate was beef😆 so yummy!
Also Sundays are the most busy but also the most rewarding day of the week. I had to do everything for the baptism and print out the program and man it was stressful but when it all happened I was so happy. Also, we got to give the sacrament to an older lady who can't get to church right now and that was also super amazing and we felt the spirit so strongly!
Guys, I love you and I know that so does Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father! Truly is amazing to know that Christ died for us individually so we can live with God again.
Love all of youuuuuu
