TEMPLE TRIP TO THAILAND
Hello everyone, this week has been literally such a crazy roller coaster. It has low key been happy and sad because I've been taken out of my area every single day this week but one of those days was for the temple OUR temple, so that was lit!!
Okay so Tuesday
We woke up right on time and got ready super quick for some service!!! Which is always so fun! Then at 9:15 we left, raced home and got in the shower at like 9:22 and then got all ready and made it to the church for district council at 9:30 but we were late 5 minutes so 9:35 but still we were pretty proud we biked a total of 5 kilometers, showered, and got ready in our shirt and tie in 20 minutes, haha. Anyway, after that we did our weekly planning and met some cool people and then went to Ming Sopheas younger sister's house, which is lit cause she wants to learn now. and after that we went and visited another lady and her son which was also lit. We did this with one of the young single adult men here too!! He hopped on a bike and rode with us.
Wednesday
We had zone conference till 3 in the evening and man that was a great day! So much good insight from President and the AP's. Super hyped that I'm in the mission that I'm in because we got such good leaders!!!!
Thursday
We went back and did more service at the same place, this time the sisters came too and were able to take some pics😆I always forget. Anyway, it was super fun doing service. We had our youth music jams playing and there were two little kids jumping around and swimming in the little pond type thing we were cleaning. After that we of course taught some fire lessons and went to the hospital to get Elder Adam's stitches out and then went home and ate lunch at like 4 cause we were late and then went and taught a far away lesson. Then came back and I packed my bags for Thailand in like 10 minutes and we left to the other area where we met with the other Elder that was going to Thailand the next day. We exchanged and I had another lesson that night in my old area!!! Stueng mean chey, and I had that lesson with people I knew which was awesome. So happy!!! Anyway. . .
Friday
We woke up at 4:30am to flooded streets but we took a tuk tuk to the other Elder's house where we then got in a taxi car and went to the airport. Long story short, we did some travel and got to Thailand around 12:00, got to our hotel, ate some lunch, then around 4:00 went to the temple there in Bangkok and was in the temple for like 3-4 hours which was so healing and amazing! That night we slept usual time and then. . .
Saturday
next morning we left for the airport at 7:30 and got back in Cambodia with fresh new visas around 2:00. Afterwards we watched General Conference in Khmer with members and had yet another fire lesson at night time
Sunday
Watched General Conference again and had a fire lesson with the security guard there at the church, which was super fun and lit! Had some really good member meals for lunch ad dinner and just living the best life there is to live.
I LOVE CAMBODIA and all of you as well!! Many I'm sure will, and have asked, "what's the hardest thing about a mission/what's the hardest experience or day that you've had. Well, to answer that question I would have to say, I haven't had it yet. Cause the saddest, worstest, difficultest, and hardest day on the mission for me will be the very last day. I dread that day of taking my tag off and not being an authorized missionary from God for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
It will be. . .
"and I was singing bye bye Ms Cambodian life, drove my bike to the lessons every time, those good ol' days preaching bout Christ's life, saying He's the reason why I strive to receive eternal life."
Anyway, if you couldn't understand that part. . . long story short, I LOVE being a missionary and hope every member of the church has an opportunity to go because it is the best experience I have had in my life as yet!!
Love yalllll bye bye👋
