Weekly Bombs
Heyyyyyoooooooo
wassup y'all? This week was so weird and totally not normal.
Monday we had a normal-ish p-day that ended with catching fish in the mud and looking at the stars in a harvested rice field, which was so unbelievably pretty. The stars were low key on the same level as a night in Washington. Which is saying a lot since it's hot and humid down here. Anyway, it was super lit but a bit crazy riding bikes back with only one light on my comps bike haha. Night vision was turned on!
Tuesday
So this day we had district council and then we did some quick service at Ming Naans house by spreading out unhusked rice on these mesh tarps so it can dry. We then dragged our feet through it to make it all level and even and to make sure the bottom was on the top and the top on the bottom so it all gets dry evenly. Anyway then we left and I showered and got all packed to go back to the city to have MLC (missionary leadership council). It's a 5 hour drive from Battambang to Phnom Penh so we had to leave around 2-ish. Then when we got there we went Christmas shopping where I bought some big marshmallows for our new year's party we will have this next week. Then we got to the AP's house and partied, lol. Nah, but it was fun to be with Elder Eav and Elder Klingler, who came out with me from the MTC and of course Elder Thompson who is younger than us. Anyway fun times.
Wednesday
We had MLC which was good but what's crazy is that at 11:00-ish we got told by the missionaries still in Battambang that the Thai soldiers just bombed a place 20 minutes southwest of Battambang so everyone still there had to immediately get to their housing. Then we finished MLC around 2:30 and went back. Our car was broken though so they had us drive in a sleeper bus, which was super crazy and super comfy and super easy as well. Low key super nice.
Thursday(Christmas)
What a crazyy Christmas! We were in lock down for the morning and then went to lunch and I had some super yummy chocolate mousse which was so tasty and then we went contacting and talked to this lady that really wants to learn which was cool. Then we went and got some more presents for the Elders in our house and then I went and planned Zone Conference with the other ZL's and STL's.
Friday
So we were still stuck in Battambang since the bombings happened which was kinda a bummer but I also just got to meet all the people I used to teach in Battambang last year which was super fun.
Okay, I ran out of time to write but the weekend was awesome! We had a baptism and we had to pin up their clothes because it was so big on them.
Anyway, I love the work here and I'm excited for this transfer to continue.
Love y'all and peace out!
Remember your Divine Heritage!!!
