The Lord is Hastening His Work

Okay so this week was another set of trials but wow! the weekends are packed with miracles.

On Saturday, we were just finishing up a dinner lesson with the first councilor, we were hopping on our bikes to go home when I noticed an Indian looking couple staring at us. I said, "Hello," and asked how they were doing and afterwards they asked me what I was doing here so I told them straight up. I'm here teaching about Jesus Christ. They smiled and with an excited look on their face they said "WE'RE CHRISTIAN TOO!" So to make a long story short I got their facebooks and Sunday roles around, they come to my ward's sacrament, the 2nd ward's sacrament, and the international ward's sacrament meeting too!!! So that's three times! Super awesome and cute couple too. I'll put it in the photos. Then while at church after second hour, another guy just walks up and says, "yeah, I wanna learn English and I wanna learn about Jesus Christ too. Can I do that here?" I thought to myself, sir there's not a better place you could've come.

Anyway, it's true, the Lord is hastening His work here on the earth and it's time to participate.

I don't have a bunch to say other than Sakseth, he's doing great and he accomplished a really hard thing this last week. He had a big question about whether we should forgive our enemies or not. We of course told him even though it's very hard, we need to forgive all that do us wrong. After some teaching and scriptures, he agreed and then this last Sunday he forgave him and said he felt a burden lifted off his shoulders. He felt free! Needless to say Sakseth is awesome. I'll try to get more photos so y'all can put a face to a name.

We had Zone Conference which was really good, focused on building personal conversion and being diligent and humble and patient. This, we all need to work on for a life time. Friday, we drove an hour out of the city to meet this other cute couple who we'll be meeting online a little and in person a little too. Once again I'll give pictures so y'all can see the vision.

Spiritual thought is Doctrine & Covenants 58:4 "For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand."

Man, have my comp and I felt this scripture apply to our lives this past couple weeks. Missionary work is hard y'all, it's rewarding, but man it's hard too. You give your whole heart to strangers hoping they'll receive it and the Gospel. Yet, sometimes they don't, and your heart gets stuck in the blender a couple of rounds and then Jesus Christ puts it back together and helps you keep moving forward. But man, you better not lose sight of Jesus Christ and His helping hand cause you can't do it alone. I can't and couldn't have done this alone. That in itself is a part of my testimony that I'm a missionary for the true church of God. I wouldn't be able to accomplish the things I do without Him. Without Jesus Christ it's impossible.

I love Him forever and will forever be a disciple of my Savior, Jesus Christ!

Love,

Elder Acton

p.s. I played pickleball for 4 hours and right now my legs are dying and since it's hot and humid here, I sweat the whole time resulting in the loss of every single electrolyte in my body, therefore headache. But the work goes on.

Okay, love y'all bye bye!

The power went out but we needed a selfie
and their faces were too dark to be picked up
😁 nothing a solar light can't fix
