Serve, Preach, and . . . . Fish

Okay well this week was a quick one haha like the rest!  Tuesday morning was a busy morning full of planning for our FHE that we will hold next Saturday. It's our first one doing it without the senior couples haha so we'll see how it goes. Anyway, after that we rushed over t mengtongs house and cleaned for an hour or two and my hands were raisins haha. I scrubbed his bathroom for the two whole hours because there's a bunch of black mold that is growing everywhere on the walls. Anyway, the rest of the days were pretty normal just preaching the gospel ever day. Wednesday, we went to one of our people early and I ate so much cow liver and rice cause Elder Chong didn't want to eat his. So I ate double. Then we went to another far place and ate a ton of mangos there and had durian sticky rice too! It was so yummy. And after that I was literally so stuffed to the max. They sent us home with more mangos as well! Thursday, we had an amazing lesson with one of our neak reans(te...

Wow Time Flies

Wow guys, I can't believe how time just flies by! I can't remember when the last time I did a weekly was, but I'll try to give you some highlights. In the middle of April was Khmer New Year and for three days it was like a massive water gun fight! Super fun and lit. They also throw baby powder on you. Super fun. . . .unless you're a missionary and you're not in Cambodia to party😆 All our lessons fell through and no one wanted to meet us for like a week and a half. Either they were in their hometown or they were busy partying or they were just busy. Super bummy. It was also the first week of the transfer so all the responsibilities got passed on to me and it's only my second transfer in a very new area. When I say new,  I mean the church has only been here for one year. Anyways, so a lot is on our shoulders as missionaries. And me and Elder Chong are the oldest missionaries here in this area that's 3 hours away from the mission office and everyone else. hah...

Samurai Slayer

Wow wow wow what a week! If you're wondering about the title, don't worry I let you know towards the end😆 Just an absolutely crazy week and honestly transfer. This last week was transfer week and wow so many emotions. Every transfer I get sad because they just go by way too fast, and I see the missionaries goin home and it makes me sad tbh. Don't get me wrong, I miss my family probably more than most people here but the mission is just an outstanding and love-filled experience. I've never been closer to God than I am right now and it is the most amazing experience ever! So I get sad because I'm closer and closer to ending😔 Also, I don't like goodbyes. This last transfer, my comp and I worked so hard and saw so many miracles and now he's gone to my old stomping ground, stung mean chey Phnom Penh. Super crazy, but anyway no worries we'll continue to do great things here with my new comp. To explain how busy I was this last week let's just say two of...

God is in the Details

So this week went pretty fast. I think it was just a regular week but I had two exchanges with the other two Elders that are here in Sihanouk Vil which is always really fun.  Oh and thank you to all that wished me a happy birthday!! It was such a delight!! I had 8 lessons!!! I left the house at 7:00am and didn't even come back til 8:30 that night. Super duper packed, long, full day. And my lovely house mates, my friends, my Elders of Sihanouk made me a white board sign and made me cookies and gave me mangos as well. Super grateful! Literally the best birthday I've ever had. I mean what better way to spend it than to be serving the Lord the whole time the sun is up and two hours after it's dark. Super lit! Also this Sunday was pretty awesome too because I had called this referral from social media right before sacrament started and she answered and I invited her to come and she said she would start preparing to go but didn't know where it was. So, I got her messenger an...
